The Most Important Meal

The Most Important Meal by Grace Donaldson | Monday 20th February | 7pm | QMU

The play is set over a day in the life of a 17 year-old girl called Ella, and charts 4 conversations that she has with 4 different people throughout that day. Using the idea that a lot of women miss breakfast as a jumping off point to explore issues of misogyny, the play begins with a breakfast semi-skipped and ends with a breakfast eaten. It attempts to preach self-care and nourishment; the idea that looking after and appreciating yourself should never be seen as overly-indulgent
