STAG-Nights is STAG’s first festival of the year, typically held at the end of November. The three-night festival consists of nine 20-minute plays and installations, centred around a general theme. STAG Nights is headed by one of the vice presidents, who together with their committee are in charge of selecting the plays, creating installations, and offering support to everyone participating. The festival has run every year since 2000, and past themes included Magic, Welcome Back to Childhood, After Hours and Shadows.
STAG Nights offers a creative outlet to not just new writers at the start of the year but also directors who wish to try short, imaginative pieces. STAG Nights offers a creative outlet to not just new writers at the start of the year but also directors who wish to try short, imaginative pieces. Previously we have had acts based on physical comedy, based around poems and adaptations of other texts such as The Tempest, Faustus and The Fall of the House of Usher, as well as many diverse new pieces of writing. STAG Nights is a great opportunity to bring your imagination to life and offers you the chance to join together as part of a festival community in one of STAG's most creative events.
