Immaculate Intention
Directed and Written by Michael O’Neill
Alan and Anne are in love. They’re sure of this because they took an internet test and it turned out that they were 98% compatible. To make sure everything goes as it should they hire two actors to help them rehearse out their romantic lives. Passions flare! Reality gets tangled! Sex is… discussed!
Dear Theo
Directed and Written by Dawn Taylor
‘If there’s a correlation between genius and insanity, should we lock up our artists, or hand paintbrushes to our madmen? ‘Dear Theo…’ is a series of short scenes which investigate how art affects our lives, and how even the greatest of artists are driven not by the art itself but by the people and things closest to them. This is an extremely physical piece, the story being told through a combination of dance, mime and throwing paint around.
Colour Me Stupid
Directed and Written by Ben Watson and Joe Waterfield
‘Colour Me Stupid’ is a New Writing Festival ‘08 play about colours and the way they affect our lives, it seeks to educate as well as entertain and enthral. It will leave you soaring, soaring high on the wings of fancy.
Saying Goodbye
Directed and Written by Ciaran McHalefrom
‘Death on earth is ubiquitous; people are dying all the time. And all the time others are saying goodbye well not as often, so if you do get to say goodbye are you lucky? And if so, what is the perfect goodbye? …This was the subject of an international study by Kapur et. al. The play opens with an academic lecturing the audience on this scientific breakthrough ‘the discovery of the perfect goodbye’.
