Interview with the Directors - Glasgow University Magazine

New York, 1927. It's the height of prohibition and a turf war in the Big Apple has reached its violent peak, with several powerful gangs vying for the top spot and the best booze. Men are dying, murdered for the sake of a bottle of liquor. But the city's women are determined to stop the war without any more violence - by calling a sex strike. Can they band together and end the devastation?

Against a backdrop of jazz, sex, and champagne, this comic adaptation of Aristophanes' Grecian classic, Lysistrata, highlights issues of female bodily autonomy which are still pressingly relevant today.
