Mainstage

About:

The Mainstage is the largest STAG production of the semester, and directing one is a great opportunity to get practical experience in putting on a relatively large-scale show in a real theatre space. There is a lot of responsibility involved, Mainstages typically having assistant directors, stage managers, and a full backstage team along with support from the board. Plays are typically ones with relatively large casts, however there are few restrictions on the type of show, as long as it is a full-length play (usually 90 to 120 minutes). Classic as well as contemporary texts are welcome and we encourage both existing scripts and new writing.
